The opposition candidate for Himara Municipality, Petro Gjikuria, denounced this Sunday evening that there were pressures and threats during the elections.
He said in a statement to the media that the entire administration had descended on Himare and threatened the citizens.
However, he declared that the Himariotes are not afraid.
"I will be here. The Himariotes have spoken, now we are left to count the boxes. No one should touch the boxes that the Himariotes voted for their son who will lead them tomorrow. I will be here tomorrow too.
In this campaign, all the administrations that have threatened the Himarjots with pressure, but the Himarjots are not afraid. Participation was higher. Himarjots do not lower their heads. Violations that have been committed will be looked into and it is the job of the CEC.
I will accept the verdict given by the Himariotes. There have been many threats and pressures. You must have seen them too, the whole administration has been here, but they have their work to do. I have done a clean job. My only goal is to work for the people of Himariot", emphasized Gjikuria./ CNA
