The Central Elections Commission has announced that the election process for the mayor of Himarë Municipality has started since 7 o'clock in the morning.

According to the CEC, voter identification is being done through the electronic identification device (EID) and no problems have been reported.

"From 7 o'clock in the morning, the election process for the mayor of Himarë Municipality started. All the voting centers in Himarë Municipality were opened according to the procedures defined by the Electoral Code. The identification of voters is being done through the electronic identification device (EID) and they are not reported problems. The voting process is proceeding normally and without problems. All 36 polling stations will be open until 19:00, so that the citizens of Himara can exercise their right to vote," the announcement states. /CNA
