The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, during his speech at the UN Security Council, said that Russian aggression in Ukraine is completely unacceptable.

Abazovic stated that achieving political objectives through violence is unacceptable in the 21st century.

He said that Montenegro is ready to defend democratic values, while he asked to stop the war.

"What is happening in Ukraine, after the aggression of the Russian Federation, is completely unacceptable. Violence, any kind of violence, achieving political objectives through violence, is unacceptable in the 21st century. Montenegro strongly supports the Ukrainian people, because Ukraine today, they are the ones who are suffering the defeat. If we are ready to defend democratic values ??and promote peace and stability, we must tell the truth and also offer all our help because today it is Ukraine, but tomorrow it could be another country. Montenegro is a very small country, but a country that is contributing to peace and security. Montenegro is the country that has the largest number of refugees from Ukraine, compared to the number of inhabitants. 5% of our population are refugees from Ukraine.
