Rama "sends" Kosovo to the Security Council/ Messages to Serbia and
Prime Minister Edi Rama and the President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vucic

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at the UN Security Council, mentioned Serbia's aggression towards Kosovo and the Hague Court.

Rama said that just like Ukraine, Kosovo also faced aggression years ago from states that saw war as a short way to achieve their goals.

The head of the government said that the states that have waged wars have tried to misuse reality to justify their neo-imperial dreams or their nightmares.

He emphasized that the Hague Court has sanctioned Kosovo for the changed reality and is serving as a pretext for territory grabbing or illegal annexation.

" I want to conclude by remembering the experience of the Western Balkans, I want to remember the path of cruelty that can bring us and the extraordinary costs it brings for everyone, including those who are the perpetrators. History has shown that those who have seen war as a shortcut to achieving their objectives have actually ended up regretting it themselves.

In fact, Russia and others have tried to use or rather misuse the changed reality in the Western Balkans, especially the birth of the Republic of Kosovo, to justify their neo-imperial dreams or their nightmares that they have exported to Ukraine.

No matter how hard you try, Kosovo, whose independence is sanctioned by the International Criminal Court, Chapter 14 of this United Nations Charter, the International Criminal Court cannot serve as a pretext for territory grabbing or illegal annexation.

If the peace that lasts in our region today is tangible, it has to do with the lessons learned ," Rama underlined./ CNA
