What the National Football Team is and is not

Last night, the Polish football team beat the football team with the Albanian logo.
As always, there were interviews, sadness, tears, scenes, apologies, and even "be glad we never got this far," etc., etc.

They also consoled us as citizens. But there's no reason! It's not that the Poles beat us Albanians. Nor was Poland able to overtake Albania in agriculture, technology, social stability, wages, health services, or other fields.

It's a ball game, it didn't happen! Don't give it the character of a national defeat! It's not the battle when the Albanian armies were defeated by the Turks after the death of Skanderbeg, it's not the surrender of the Kruja Castle, nor the collapse of the financial pyramids, nor the Italian invasion of Albania, nor the breach of the Mukje Agreements!

We lost chances - they say. That we would have been 2-0. But why did the Poles almost lose! Forget about these things, we've been hearing them for decades.

What a naive propaganda amalgam between football and politics. No connection between the two. When they focus the identity of the nation on the football team, I feel sad for those journalists who make the patriot on the screen. Fandom is not patriotism! There is no connection between the national issue and a ball game!

If that happens where we identify, then all the other symbols that unite us as a nation have fallen!

They almost made us cry when they saw the national football team at the World Cup in America. American dream - said one of them! Good thing they didn't say they're waiting for us in the American Senate, or at the UN.

We are among the greats of the world! Patriotic gigantomania is breaking out. Europe needs us in geopolitics! We are the Balkan energy power. We have the most frequent flights in the world. Our beaches are among the eight celestial beauties of the Earth!

Then after we get excited, Lewandowski and that other guy score two good goals, and they blow us away in the middle of the propaganda, the show, the news!

I told the coach! After the European Championship. Go away man, time is up! But he continued his contract. His job. Just one prayer: Poland did not beat Albania!
