We are not a corrupt country, but we have a corrupt government, Ms. Kos!

2026-03-24 17:48:00, Opinione Belind Këlliçi

We are not a corrupt country, but we have a corrupt government, Ms. Kos!

European Union Commissioner Marta Kos has alluded today that we as a country, as a society, have problems with corruption, reinforcing precisely Edi Rama's thesis that seeks to impose abuse of public funds and theft as the norm.

Such a stance is no longer held by the government panelists, nor even by Elisa Spiropali!
The invitation that the EU commissioner makes to us is to accept Edi Rama's thieving, as an Albanian custom! We are used to seeing diplomats lured, bought by Edi Rama to offer support for him.

But no one had ever reached such heights as the senior Kos official, accusing a society, a people, of the shocking financial affairs of a prime minister and his associates.

Albania has problems with corruption because it has the most corrupt Prime Minister in Europe.
Albania has problems with corruption because Edi Rama defends theft with a vote in parliament.
Albania has problems with corruption because the Prime Minister divides tenders according to his interests.
Albania has problems with corruption because the corrupt Prime Minister finds lawyers in Brussels like Mrs. Kos.

With the stance taken today, the EU Commissioner has not helped society, citizens, and has not helped Albania at all.

She simply gave Edi Rama a hand.
This is what our country needs the least.

Society here, the citizens, have reacted and shown that they do not agree with corruption, they have shown that they want integrity in governance.

It is precisely this value that must be stimulated, that must be encouraged.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Kos did the opposite today. She stimulated, encouraged and incited the corrupt, Edi Rama.

Unprecedented shame and scandal!
