The actor and director, Francesco Nuti, passed away this morning in Rome. 

Foreign media reports that he had been ill for some time. 

The news has been confirmed by his daughter, Ginevra, who, together with the family members, conveyed sincere thanks to the health personnel.

The family members have asked the media to respect their pain and give them space for privacy.

We remember that Nuti suffered from health problems.

In 2006, a family accident left him with a hematoma on the head and severe neurological damage. 

He lost the ability to speak and moved around in a wheelchair.
