Cannabis to be sold in tourist areas/ 4 citizens arrested in Vlora

Intensive controls continue throughout the Vlora region, with the aim of guaranteeing public order and safety, and 4 citizens who were in possession of narcotics for the purpose of sale, mainly in tourist areas, were arrested.

As part of the measures taken to increase security during the tourist season, the structures of the Vlora Local Police Directorate and the Saranda Police Commissariat have intensified checks on streets, homes and other public and private environments, with a focus on coastal and tourist areas.

As a result of these checks, 4 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto who were in possession of cannabis sativa narcotics in their homes, in Vlora, Qeparo and Saranda, suspected of being intended for sale in tourist areas, specifically the citizens:

AY, 44 years old, resident of Fier, NA, 30 years old, resident of Qeparo, KS, 31 years old, resident of the village of Berdenesh, Saranda and EB, 42 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 4, Saranda.

The procedural materials were referred to the relevant Prosecutor's Offices for further action, for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics" ./CNA
