Profits from criminal activities/ Family home in Durrës seized

The Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section at the Durrës Local Police Directorate executed the criminal decision of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, Tirana, upheld by the Court of Appeal, for the confiscation of property for the use of citizen LK.

This citizen had 1050 m2 of land seized, as well as a one-story building with a yard and a swimming pool. The property was handed over to the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets, in the presence of the family members of citizen LK.

From the investigations so far, it results that citizen LK has benefited from these assets from the criminal activity of his 2 sons, who are suspected of the criminal offenses "Forgery of identity cards, passports or visas" and "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms".

The 2 brothers are being investigated in the context of a 2017 criminal proceeding, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Murder", under qualified circumstances, committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition"./ CNA
