They stole 409 thousand euros from the entity where they worked / 37-year-old

The police have finalized the "Doublefront" operation, within which a 37-year-old man has been arrested and a 30-year-old woman has been declared wanted.

Both of these people are accused of abuse of office, as they are suspected of having stolen 409,000 thousand euros from the entity where they were employed.

The amount of money was stolen by two people through fraud with distribution invoices for a 1-year period.

 

Police notification

The police operation codenamed "Doublefront" is being finalized after 6 months of investigations using proactive methods.

They stole 409,000 euros from the entity where they were employed, abusing their duties, the 37-year-old (delivery worker) is arrested, the financier is wanted.       

The Money Laundering and Criminal Assets Investigation Section, as a result of investigations conducted using proactive methods, for 6 months, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, finalized the police operation codenamed "Doublefront".

As part of this operation, the security measure "Arrest in prison", ordered by the Court of Tirana, was executed for citizen E. Sh., 37 years old, and citizen AS, 30 years old, was declared wanted.   

The investigations suspect that citizen E. Sh. and citizen AS (with respective duties as order distributor and financial officer in a subject that sold textiles by the yard), in collaboration with each other, during the period 2023-2024, have stolen from this subject, through fraud with delivery invoices, approximately 409,000 euros.     

Efforts are underway to capture citizen AS. 

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
