Fraudulent sale of apartments/ Two people in handcuffs, notary wanted

Tirana Police have finalized the "Apartments" operation, within which 2 fraud cases have been cracked, two people have been arrested, and a notary has been declared wanted.

31-year-old MQ has been arrested after deceiving a person for a year by saying he would buy him an apartment, taking a monetary sum of 75 thousand euros.

48-year-old NK was also arrested for another case of apartment fraud. NK sold the same apartment twice.

In connection with this fraud case, a notary, MD, 57 years old, has been declared wanted, who has drawn up contracts for the sale of the same apartment twice.

Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Apartments" is finalized.

Within 24 hours, the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section arrested the perpetrators of 2 fraud cases.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested for taking 75,000 euros from a citizen, deceiving him by saying he would buy him an apartment in the capital.

A 48-year-old man who sold his apartment twice has been arrested.

A notary who drafted 2 sales contracts for the same property is wanted.

As a result of the rapid administration of the reports of 2 citizens, who were defrauded, the specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section arrested, within 24 hours, the perpetrators of both cases. Specifically, within the framework of the "Apartments" operation, the following citizens were arrested:

-MQ, 31 years old, for more than a year, he took 75,000 euros from a 34-year-old man, deceiving him that he would buy an apartment on his behalf;

-NK, 48 years old, after having sold his apartment twice. Following the investigation into this case, the notary who is suspected of having drawn up contracts for the sale of this apartment twice, citizen MD, 57 years old, was identified and declared wanted. Work is underway to locate and arrest her.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
