Internationally wanted for kidnapping and sexual violence/ 52-year-old arrested

Following the "Operacionalja" operation, a 52-year-old man who was declared an international wanted man was arrested.

AK, wanted by Italy for several serious criminal offenses, such as sexual violence or kidnapping, has been arrested.

 

Police notification

The police operation codenamed "Operation 56" is being finalized by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force. 

A 52-year-old man on international wanted list is captured in Cërrik and arrested with the aim of extradition to Italy.   

The 52-year-old was wanted by Italian authorities for several serious criminal offenses.

The structures of the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, following successive operations to capture citizens declared internationally wanted, finalized the next operation, codenamed "Operation 56".    

As part of this operation, in Cerrik, it was possible to locate, capture and arrest citizen AK, 52 years old, resident of Cerrik.   

This citizen was declared an international wanted person after the Italian authorities issued an arrest warrant against him for the criminal offenses of "Sexual Violence", "Kidnapping", "Theft" and "Violation of Weapons Regulations". For these criminal offenses, the Italian Criminal Code provides for a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison.    

Interpol Tirana continues the procedures in cooperation with the Italian authorities for the extradition of this citizen./ CNA
