Local elections in North Macedonia/ Turnout as of 11:00 is 9.3%

North Macedonia is holding local elections today in 80 municipalities across the country and in the city of Skopje. The State Election Commission announced at a press conference that voter turnout as of 11:00 is 9.3%.

Meanwhile, the voting centers opened at 07:00 and voting will continue until 19:00. According to information, there are 309 candidates running for mayor and 576 candidates for council members.

In the city of Skopje alone, 16 candidates are running for mayor. 1,832,415 voters are expected to cast their ballots in today's local elections. /CNA
