Shooting at Israeli synagogue in Michigan

A shooting occurred today at a synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan. According to authorities, the perpetrator of the attack was dead, while it is not known if he had accomplices.

Police said no one was injured in the shooting. It was initially reported that a car had been deliberately driven into the Temple Israel synagogue, one of the largest in the United States.

Gunfire soon followed and the vehicle burst into flames. The sheriff's office confirmed that everyone at the nearby school and daycare center was safely evacuated.

The Jewish Federation of Detroit asked Jewish institutions to lock down their facilities so that no one can enter or leave the buildings. FBI officials are also on the scene, said the head of the agency, Kash Patel.
