Trump: Irani mund të marrë pjesë në Kupën e Botës, por nuk besoj se është e përshtatshme për sigurinë e tyre

Presidenti i SHBA-së, Donald Trump ka deklaruar se ekipi i futbollit iranian është i mirëpritur të marrë pjesë në Kupën e Botës të këtij viti, por shtoi se nuk beson se është e përshtatshme që ata të garojnë. Në një postim në "Truth Social", Trump tha se kjo është për jetën dhe sigurinë e tyre.

“Ekipi Kombëtar i Futbollit i Iranit është i mirëpritur në Kupën e Botës, por unë vërtet nuk besoj se është e përshtatshme që ata të jenë atje, për jetën dhe sigurinë e tyre. Faleminderit për vëmendjen tuaj ndaj kësaj çështjeje”, thuhet në postimin e Trump në Truth Social.

Ekipi do të përballet me Zelandën e Re dhe Belgjikën në Los Angeles më 15 dhe 21 qershor respektivisht, dhe me Egjiptin në Seattle më 26 qershor.

Ministri i sportit dhe rinisë i qarkut, Ahmad Donyamali, e vuri në dyshim pjesëmarrjen e ekipit kur tha të martën: "Duke pasur parasysh që kjo qeveri e korruptuar ka vrarë udhëheqësin tonë, në asnjë rrethanë nuk kemi kushtet e duhura për të marrë pjesë në Kupën e Botës. Djemtë tanë nuk janë të sigurt dhe kushtet për pjesëmarrje nuk ekzistojnë."

Por presidenti i FIFA-s, Gianni Infantino, një mik i ngushtë i Trump, njoftoi të mërkurën se kishte folur me presidentin, i cili tha se i kishte thënë se Irani ishte i mirëpritur të merrte pjesë në turne. /CNA
