Snowstorm in the US/ Private plane crashes, 7 dead and 1 injured

A private plane crashed at Bangor International Airport, Maine, USA, while taking off during a winter storm.

The aircraft was a small Bombardier Challenger 600 with 8 people on board, including the crew.

According to preliminary reports from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), 7 people have lost their lives in the incident.

One person was seriously injured and is receiving medical treatment.

The plane crashed and then overran the runway and caught fire, according to US media reports.

An initial investigation has been launched by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board to determine the causes of the crash.
