Exchanges of fire in the North of Kosovo/ KFOR: We are ready to respond if required

The NATO peacekeeping force in Kosovo has stated that it is ready to respond if its assistance is requested for the situation in the north of Kosovo, where there is a firefight between the Kosovo Police and an armed group. 

"We strongly condemn the attack against the Kosovo Police. We express our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased", says KFOR's response to Klankosova.tv

KFOR is monitoring the situation in Banjska and is present on the ground. 

"The KFOR commander is in close and continuous contact with all international stakeholders, including the EU, the Chief of Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces and the institutions in Kosovo, and is working intensively to find a solution", says the communique.
