The Kosovo Police is following the action north of Mitrovica, in a monastery in the village of Basnjkë. where for several hours there has been an exchange of fire with the Albanian forces and an armed group.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that there are more than 30 armed people who have entered the territory of Kosovo and are shooting at the police.
They are armed and Kurti described them as a real military formation. The head of the Kosovo government called on the armed men, whom he called criminals, to surrender.
"They have come to fight and destabilize. We call on them to surrender", said Kurti.
