"Serbia 'de facto' recognizes Kosovo"/ Vucic gets nervous:

An interview with President Aleksandër Vucic was put in difficulty by BBC journalist Stephen Sackur in the "Hard Talk" program.

Vucic could not hide his nervousness when Sackur mentioned that Serbia 'de facto' recognizes Kosovo, as it has been in dialogue with this country for the normalization of relations for years.

"This is not true. It is not said or written anywhere. Normalization means that we live in peace, stability, tranquility, have free circulation of goods, capital, people, services, develop our economies, start discussing various issues and try to solve them. I'm not ashamed to say I've changed."

He described as untrue the claim that he is trying to restore Greater Serbia, after the all-Serbian assembly in the summer.

"This is a fabricated story of people who wanted to harm Serbia and Serbian national interests. Because you are quoting something that you have taken out of context. The statement says that we fully support the peace agreement that was signed in 1995. I have also said a thousand times, and I repeat it now, that we support the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina."

Vucic also spoke about the strong ties with Russia and the fact that he does not join the EU sanctions, even though he aspires to become part of the bloc. Serbia decides alone, said Vucic, who emphasized that he was sitting on one chair and not two.
