Hezbollah group strikes Israel, dozens injured

Israel faced a barrage of rockets fired by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah today.

Some of the attacks were intercepted thanks to the air defense system, others targeted several different areas in the center and north of the country.

As a result, several people were injured, while material damage was also reported, including a residential building.

The Israeli army responded to Hezbollah with airstrikes in several locations in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

In the last 24 hours in Lebanon, dozens of people were killed and injured, according to local authorities.

The attacks and counterattacks between Israel and Hezbollah come at a time when the army has issued evacuation orders in Gaza City, triggering a new wave of displacement of civilian residents.

The new orders, according to the spokesman of the Israeli army, came after several rocket attacks launched in the Israeli direction from the same neighborhood.

Responsibility for the rocket barrage on Saturday was claimed by Hamas' armed wing, which said it had targeted an Israeli army base near the border.

In northern Gaza, where Israeli forces have been operating against the regrouping of Hamas militants since early last month, health officials said an Israeli drone dropped bombs on Kamal Adwan Hospital, wounding its director.

Israeli forces say armed militants use civilian buildings including residential blocks, hospitals and schools for operational cover.

In recent weeks, Israel said it had facilitated the distribution of medical supplies and fuel and the transfer of patients from northern Gaza hospitals in cooperation with international agencies such as the World Health Organization.
