Russia says it has no planned target for attack in Poland

Russia's Defense Ministry says it had not planned to attack any targets in Poland, after Warsaw said 19 Russian drones entered its airspace during overnight strikes in western Ukraine.

In a daily update on the attacks against Ukraine, it says: "No facility on Polish territory was planned to be targeted.

"The maximum range of the UAVs used in the attack in Ukraine does not exceed 700 km (435 miles). However, we are ready to hold consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense on this topic."

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told Parliament earlier that 19 unauthorized entries into Polish airspace had been recorded overnight, most of the drones coming from Belarus.

He added that three drones have been confirmed to have been shot down, while a fourth is most likely to have been hit./ CNA
