Known as the "Escobar" of modern times/ One of the most dangerous

The FBI has arrested one of the most dangerous people in the world, former Olympic champion Ryan Wedding.

Ryan Wedding, a suspected drug lord and former Olympic champion, has been arrested and transported to California from Mexico, where he was living in hiding.

He is accused of being the head of a vast drug trafficking network and of having ordered dozens of murders around the world.

Ryan Wedding has been the subject of an international manhunt and his arrest was a joint effort involving Mexican, Canadian and American law enforcement agencies.

At a press conference, FBI Director Kash Patel described Wedding as "a modern-day Pablo Escobar," referring to the notorious Colombian drug lord.

Mike Duheme of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Wedding's capture means communities and countries are much safer.

Wedding will be held in custody and is expected to appear in federal court on Monday.

This court appearance is expected to be in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, where a lawsuit against Wedding was filed last year./ CNA
