The Pentagon is quietly preparing the ground for a possible US military operation in Cuba, as the war with Iran continues, foreign media report today.
Meanwhile, contingency plans are being drawn up in case US President Donald Trump orders military intervention in Cuba. The sources also said that the Pentagon has received instructions directly from the White House to prepare for possible military action in the Caribbean.
On Monday, Trump said he could travel through Cuba after he is done with the war with Iran, which negotiators are trying to resolve before a two-week deadline for a ceasefire expires.
