The leaders of Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 10-day ceasefire after officials from both countries met in Washington. The decision was announced by US President Donald Trump.
"The two leaders reached a ceasefire agreement 'with the aim of achieving PEACE between their countries,'" Trump wrote in a post on 'Social Truth.'
The temporary ceasefire will begin at 5 p.m. local time.
The US president wrote that he had just finished excellent talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon.
