Ukrainian Photo-Operation "Spider's Web"/ From drone action to

Operation "Spider Web", in which the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) today shot down 41 Russian strategic bombers, was in preparation for more than a year and a half, sources within the SBU told Ukrainian media. The operation was personally supervised by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It was executed under the leadership of SBU Chief Vasyl Maliuk and his team.

According to sources, the operation presented extreme logistical challenges. The SBU initially smuggled FPV drones into Russian territory, followed later by portable wooden cabins. Once inside Russia, the drones were hidden under the roofs of these cabins, which were placed on cargo trucks. At the critical moment, the cabin roofs were opened remotely, releasing the drones to strike Russian bombers.

The photos show how the drones were prepared for the attack on military airports.

SBU sources emphasize that all personnel involved in this historic mission have long since returned to Ukraine.

The attack follows a night of bombing in which Russia launched 472 drones, the Ukrainian air force said. Earlier on Sunday, the Ukrainian military said a Russian missile strike on a military training unit killed at least 12 Ukrainian service members and wounded 60 others. /CNA
