Two bridges collapse in Russia / 7 people die, dozens injured

Two bridges collapsed overnight in two Russian regions bordering Ukraine. According to the BBC, at least seven people were killed and dozens more injured in the collapse.

In Bryansk, a road bridge collapsed and several trucks fell on a passenger train, the regional governor said. Emergency services said seven people were killed and 47 others were taken to hospital.

In a response on Telegram, Moscow Railway claims that the bridge collapse occurred as a result of illegal interventions.

A few hours after the Bryansk bridge collapse, another bridge collapsed in Zheleznogorsk. The collapse caused a train to derail and burst into flames, injuring the driver.

" The cause of the bridge collapse will be determined. All emergency services are working at the scene. I am keeping the situation under control, " said acting governor Alexander Khinshtein./ CNA
