Tens of thousands of people protested against Netanyahu

Tens of thousands of people protested in several Israeli cities against the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In Tel Aviv alone, according to the organizers, 100,000 people took to the streets. They demanded Netanyahu's immediate resignation and new elections. Demonstrators later joined other protesters demanding more serious efforts to free the hostages taken by the terrorist organization Hamas.

It has been exactly six months since terrorists from Hamas and other extremist groups attacked southern Israel, killing nearly 1,200 people and taking 250 hostages in the Gaza Strip. According to information, 129 people are still in the hands of Hamas.

Demonstrators lit several fires in the street, which were quickly extinguished by the police. The media reports that there was a conflict between the police and the protesters. In another place, a person is suspected of deliberately hitting three participants in the demonstrations with a car, who suffered injuries. The police arrested the driver of the vehicle.

Clashes outside Netanyahu's residence

There were also demonstrations in Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva, Herzliya and in Caesarea in front of Prime Minister Netanyahu's private villa. There was a clash between the police and the protesters who were trying to approach his house.
