Two planes collide in London

A "Virgin Atlantic 787" collided with a British Airways Airbus A350 while leaving the terminal at Heathrow Airport, causing minor damage to both aircraft.

The wings of the Virgin plane hit the tail of the neighboring BA plane.

Emergency services went to the scene after the crash.

A spokesman for Virgin Atlantic said: "We are aware that the wingtip of one of our empty aircraft came into contact with another aircraft as it was being pulled from the stand at London Heathrow's Terminal 3.

"The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority. We can confirm that no customers were on board the Virgin Atlantic aircraft at the time of the crash.

"We have launched a full investigation and our engineering teams are conducting maintenance checks on the aircraft, which is currently out of service."/ CNA
