26th anniversary of the Tërnje Massacre in Theranda/ Prime Minister Kurti

This Tuesday coincides with the 26th anniversary of the massacre in Trnje, Theranda.

On this anniversary, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti paid homage and laid wreaths at the graves of the fallen. They were brutally killed by Serbian armed forces.

In his speech, Kurti emphasized that the blood of martyrs is in the foundations of the Republic of Kosovo.

 "We bow with respect and also with deep gratitude, and with heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the freedom of our people, to the liberation of Kosovo.

The blood of the martyrs is in the foundations of the Republic and now we have a smaller, but important, part of the work left to do, to strengthen our state, to strengthen the home of the people, so that future generations will never have to suffer, have pain, or experience the losses that we have gone through.

In particular, a special respect for the Albanian mothers who raised their daughters and sons, who were not only dignified citizens of the Republic, but also great fighters for the freedom of the people. Glory to all the martyrs and martyrs of the nation! Glory to all those who gave their lives and sacrificed for the freedom of the people, including those who were sacrificed from your village, Tërnje,” said Kurt i./CNA
