Denis Meçe, the author of the murder of 42-year-old Egli Progi in Pogradec, gave another version of the incident to the police officers.

He stated that he did not know Egli Proga, but according to him he insulted him for no reason as he was drunk. Meçe stated that he only hit the victim with one punch and he fell to the ground. 

"While we were sitting in the bar, this guy came, I didn't know his name. He greeted us and entered the bar, at one point I ran out of cigarettes and I went inside and told the owner of the bar about cigarettes, but there this guy said to me: here's how I'm going to screw him up and I'm out of respect i got As I turned my back, he insulted me. I told him, let's go outside and talk, he cursed me again and we went out. I wanted to slap him on the cheek to calm him down, but when I got close to him and raised my hand, he fell to the ground and never got up. I was not trusted at all and after being scared of the situation I left. I want to say that I spent the whole day consuming alcohol and as far as I could see, he was also drunk", declared Denis Meçe. /CNA
