Vjosa at critical point/Mersin: 13 families have been evacuated in Vlora

The Mayor of Vlora, Bruna Mersini, in a statement to the media, stated that the situation due to rainfall is at a critical point.

Mersin announced that the Vjosa River's flow has reached a level of 8.6 meters.

Regarding the affected families, Mersin said that 13 families have been evacuated.

 

" The situation is currently at a critical point, because the flows in the Vjosa are at a level of 8.6 meters. But in the coming hours, we hope that there will be a decrease in the amount, considering that the southern part, which is the part that brings the water flows to this level, has a stability of flows there. And this will be reflected for about 12 hours. We have areas at risk for 6 families, who if there is a critical point, will be evacuated. Currently, 13 families have been evacuated ," said Mersini.
