Journalist Isa Myzyraj has reacted to the shameful decision of Sokol Sadushi, the mercenary and uncertified soldier of the Renaissance who serves Erion Veliaj, regarding security measures.

Myzyraj emphasizes that everything looks like an institutional surgical operation, aimed not necessarily at improving the system, but at creating a way out for officials accused of corruption who are currently in detention.

"The Albanian government and the Prime Minister himself have appeared in recent months to be clearly concerned about the issue of detention.

This concern began to be articulated more strongly when several senior exponents of the ruling party ended up behind bars.

Suddenly, during 2026, renowned lawyers and leaders of judicial system institutions joined this political alarm.

In mid-February, the head of the Supreme Court published an article addressing the issue of pre-trial detention and the need for a "return to constitutional standards."

But developments took another turn. Almost a month after this writing, on March 9, the head of the Supreme Court issued an interim decision to initiate the procedure for the partial amendment of the unified practice of the Joint Colleges of the Supreme Court of 2011, which is directly related to personal security measures.

"At this point, it is no longer necessary to delve deeply into legal analysis to understand the essence of this initiative. The chronology of events itself speaks clearly: everything looks like an institutional surgical operation, aimed not necessarily at improving the system, but at creating a way out for officials accused of corruption who are currently in detention," Myzyraj declares./ CNA
