"Justice reform has failed"/ Shkullaku: Uprisings in small countries

Journalist Armand Shkullaku commented today on the Socialist Party's position on the issue of MP Belinda Balluku's immunity.

Invited to the "Task Force" on Syri TV, he said that today it was shown that the Justice Reform has failed. According to him, Rama, with that stance, gave the message that the courts cannot touch those who work for him.

"There is a clear conflict of interest here. If we are to believe the internationals who have built independent institutions and guarantors of the system, which in this case are the courts, Rama could very well have granted immunity. Rama has overthrown the courts with this action. He is doing this because Rama will openly send the message that there are neither courts nor prosecutors for me to take away the nights that work for me. The internationals should have reacted in time to this issue. Justice functions and is independent when I give permission, says Rama. For me, justice reform has failed ," said Shkullaku.

Shkullaku also spoke about the opposition action, saying that uprisings in a small country like Albania do not happen. Among other things, he added that if the opposition cannot represent the opposition people, it is better to "let them go home."

"Uprisings in small countries do not happen. This is because the state in our country is the provider of everything. Here, it will either take years until a new force emerges or you cannot stay in the system and criticize Rama while remaining in parliament. If they cannot represent the opposition people, let them go home," the journalist said. /CNA
