Fight against corruption/ SPAK: Over 50% of high-level officials have been sent

The SPAK report for 2025 states that a 17.7% increase in new cases and investigations and a 12.2% increase in completed cases/investigations was recorded compared to the previous year.

This activity has resulted in the sending to court of 24 proceedings for non-high-level corruption, with a total of 147 defendants, as well as 10 proceedings for high-level corruption, with 13 defendants.

The investigation against high-level officials has continued with determination, with 6 new proceedings and 16 people under investigation.

Of the 30 senior officials and former officials investigated during 2025, over 50% of them (18) were sent to court with a request for trial, while 10 were sentenced with a final decision, showing effectiveness in criminal prosecution at the highest levels of public administration.

The report also highlights a high level of public trust in SPAK, as 33.5% of proceedings initiated during the year were initiated by reports from citizens.

This data shows that SPAK has successfully continued to strengthen the fight against corruption, while maintaining effectiveness and independence in handling the most sensitive cases.
