SPAK delegation makes official visit to Kosovo/Focus on the fight against crime

A delegation from the Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), from the Republic of Albania, conducted an official visit to Kosovo.

The Albanian delegation headed by the head of SPAK, Mr. Klodjan Braho, was received today in a meeting by the State Prosecutor, Mr. Agron Qalaj, accompanied by the prosecutors in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Aleksandër Lumezi, and Ms. Laura Pula, as well as by the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution, Mr. Blerim Isufaj.

Acting Chief Prosecutor Qalaj informed the delegation from Tirana about the functioning of the prosecutorial system, and in particular about the functioning of the State Prosecutor, about the organizational structure, about the competencies of the prosecutorial offices, as well as about the challenges faced by the prosecutorial system in realizing the mission of the rule of law.

During this meeting, the joint institutional commitment to strengthening the rule of law in both countries was reaffirmed, and discussions were held on increasing the level of cooperation, coordination and efficiency in the fight against crime in both countries.

The parties agreed that strengthening cooperation and coordination between the two prosecution offices in the field of criminal justice is essential for facing common challenges and addressing issues of mutual interest.

Part of the delegation of the Republic of Albania, in addition to the head of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, Mr. Klodjan Braho, was also the former head of this prosecution office, Mr. Altin Dumani, and Ms. Fatjona Memçaj, prosecutor at EUROJUST./ CNA
