Attacks from Iran/ Minister Hoxha holds a phone call with his Kuwaiti

Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha held a telephone conversation today with his counterpart in Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Hoxha, in his reaction regarding the telephone conversation, states that Albania strongly condemns Iran's attacks against Kuwait and adds that they pose serious threats to regional and global security, peace and stability.

Among other things, it announces that Albania will co-sponsor the UN draft resolution in the Security Council, submitted by the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which condemns Iran's attacks against Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, and calls for their immediate cessation.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti authorities for their care and support for Albanian citizens during this situation.

I had a telephone conversation today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Albania strongly condemns Iran's attacks against Kuwait. These actions constitute a clear violation of international law, violate Kuwait's sovereignty, and pose serious threats to the security of its citizens, the country's economy, and regional and global peace and stability.

Albania stands in full solidarity with Kuwait in the face of any destabilizing action. I reaffirmed our unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kuwait, a fundamental principle of Albania's foreign policy.
