Investigations about the Tirana incinerator are deepening

CNA has reported that SPAK has deepened its investigations into the Tirana incinerator. ( Read here )

This news was confirmed this Friday afternoon by the Special Prosecutor's Office, in a recent announcement about the 130 million euro affair file.

SPAK declares that the investigations are being extended to all the people involved in this mega-affair, as well as to the people who were paid by the people of the incinerators.

"The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime is conducting further investigations within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 255 of 2020, for all other subjects registered within this investigation (individuals and legal entities), to evidenced any other criminal fact, the actions of each of the responsible persons of the state institutions who participated before and during the procedure of granting the concession, as well as during the implementation of the concession contract", the announcement emphasizes, among other things.

CNA has denounced the entire scheme of incinerators, from Elbasan, Fieri, Tirana that goes to Zimbabwe or even Malta and other paths . ( Read here )

In May of this year, SPAK provided documents from Italy, which are quite important to unravel the scheme of the incinerator affair.

The materials of a voluminous file will bring to light the persons involved, the high officials, their collaborators and even the people of the Municipality of Tirana, the directors of Erion Veliajt and the role of the mayor of Tirana in this affair. ( Read here )
