The situation with the fires in the country/problematic areas

The Ministry of Defense announces that in the last 24 hours, 27 fires have been reported, of which 18 have been extinguished, after the continuous work of the operational forces.

"The fire in the village of Kakarriqi, Balldren administrative unit, and the village of Gjadër, Dajç administrative unit, Lezhë municipality, the fire in the village of Zavaline, Elbasan municipality, continues to be active today. In Gostimë administrative unit, Elbasan municipality, efforts are being made to extinguish another fire. The emergency teams continue the work to extinguish the fires in the Bode forest area, Maliq municipality, in the village of Kus, the municipality of Tirana, in the village of Mushnik, the municipality of Rrogozhinë, in the village of Vorfë, the municipality of Malësi e Madhe, in the village of Salari, the municipality Tepelena as well as in the Qafshtame national park, the municipality of Krujë. Currently, the fires do not pose a danger to residential areas," the announcement states. 

In the last 24 hours, 599 operational forces and 452 vehicles were engaged in firefighting operations.

"We request from all the institutions and structures of the civil defense system their maximum commitment to the management of situations caused by fires. We call on citizens to report on time to the emergency numbers for any problem. The National Agency of Civil Protection will continue stop following the situations and will engage all capacities at the national and international level", the announcement states. /CNA
