February 10th Protest/ Kikia: The opposition should be sparing in the objectives

Journalist Mentor Kikia spoke this evening regarding the national protest that the opposition is expected to hold on February 10.

Invited to Euronews Albania, Kikia stated that the opposition should be sparing in the objectives it declares, as according to him it discourages citizens who support it.  

Among other things, he added that the February 10 protest will be the same as the January 24 one.

"The opposition's objectives will have to be realistic. When it targets the fundamental objective that the government will fall, we have heard this for 10 years in a row. We will have to be realistic about what it will aim for with this protest. If the January 24 protest produced international news, this was a victory for the opposition. The Socialist government is stabilized. We have heard the promises, we will not enter the elections with Edi Rama. They entered the elections and lost. The opposition must be careful in declaring these objectives because when they are not realized, they discourage citizens from following them. There may be a hunger strike, but there is no need to set a deadline that this government will leave within a month. Because this then turns into a war of nerves. February 10 will be a protest similar to the one on January 24. With greater intensity.
