Lisandër Hoxha: Transferring the Municipal Police under the Ministry of

Democrat Lisandër Hoxha shared his position today regarding the possibility of transferring the Municipal Police under the Ministry of Interior, a much-discussed draft law during December of last year.

Through a post on social media, Hoxha states that such an act would be like a return to the time of monism, when local government was simply an extension of municipal government and every decision-making was controlled by the center.

"The transfer of the Municipal Police under the Ministry of Interior is a return to the time of monism, when local government was simply an extension of the municipalities and every decision-making was controlled from the center."

So why this scheme today?

When tens of millions of euros have been spent for years by the European Union on training and legal regulations, precisely to teach us the principle of subsidiarity. Power should be delegated as close to the citizen as possible and not centralized.

Why this unconstitutional initiative that removes an essential competence from local government?

Let's put it bluntly and without much comment. This is only done for the administration of public spaces.

The Municipal Police will become the new whip over businesses.

A new law on the administration of public spaces has been prepared, which centralizes this right. In this way, the government takes control of who works and who doesn't. In short, plenty of space for government clients and their businesses, while others take the noc rock and rock nothing.

This stab in the back will mainly hit small businesses, which are the most vulnerable to even the smallest changes.

In the name of freeing up public spaces, a second action has been prepared, after the law, that will bankrupt thousands of self-employed people. The plan is already ready. Only a certain number of businesses under the government should work and no one else. From street vendors to small shops and bars, everyone is targeted. They will no longer be allowed to exercise their activity.

Every city will have exclusive zones, where only a limited number of permits are granted for the legal use of public spaces. The rest will either work under unfavorable conditions or go bankrupt.

If we silently accept this charade, we must prepare for a final exodus of the remaining workforce in our country.

The bankruptcy of these businesses is the most cruel act against the country's economy and against the sacrifice of the citizens who have dared to work under this regime.

"A strong reaction is needed to stop this masquerade," Hoxha writes./ CNA
