The GJKKO passes judgment on the mayor of Tropoja Municipality

The Special Court has put the mayor of Tropoja Municipality, Rexhë Byberi, on trial.

The deputy mayor of this municipality, Abedin Kërnaja, has also been put on trial.

Byberi and Kërnaja will be tried for "abuse of office" committed on several occasions.

"In his capacity as Mayor of Tropoja Municipality, he has committed actions/inactions in the failure to properly fulfill his duties, in violation of the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 408, dated 13.5.2015 "On the Approval of the Territorial Development Regulation", during the process of opening roads, according to projects approved by the Municipal Council", - according to SPAK.
