The historic building of the former maternity hospital in Korça is reborn

The historic building of the former maternity hospital of Korça, built as a gift to the city by the prominent philanthropist Thoma Turtulli, has undergone a complete restoration process, being saved from destruction and taking on a new function.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared the news through a post on social media, where he emphasized that this building will now serve as the administrative center of the new Knowledge Pole, preserving historical and architectural values, but also adapting to contemporary needs.

"With the Renaissance of the historic building that was once the maternity hospital of Korça, built as a gift from the immortal Thoma Turtulli to his city, which was saved from destruction and will serve with grace as the administrative center of the new Knowledge Pole, I wish you a good week," Rama writes.

The redevelopment of this building is considered an important step in preserving the cultural heritage of the city of Korça and in giving it a new spirit of development through knowledge and modern administration.
