Draft law/Albanian citizens must declare their residence addresses to receive services

The Ministry of the Interior has drawn up a draft with changes to the "Civil Status" law.

According to the changes, Albanian citizens must declare their place of residence.

Albanian citizens living inside or outside the country will not be able to receive services if they do not declare their residence.

The deadline for declaring residence addresses is up to 6 months after the entry into force of the law. The initial registration of residence is done in the civil status office of the administrative unit that has territorial jurisdiction over the residence declared as residence.

Meanwhile, if an Albanian changes residence, he must declare it no later than 30 days after the move.
