Premature births are increasing, doctors show the reasons

One in 10 babies in Albania are born prematurely. These are the data that were reported by the health authorities during an activity.

As reasons for the increase in these cases, doctors list the old age of women when they decide to become mothers, tension, diabetes and hemorrhages that lead to termination of pregnancies.

But despite the fact that cases of premature birth are high, mortality has decreased. According to doctors, this is dedicated to their professional training, investment in equipment and medications.

Any baby born at 36 weeks or earlier is considered a premature baby.
