Draft law on tourist ports/Capri: Custom-made law harms citizens

Opportunity Party MP Erald Kapri spoke this evening regarding the law on tourist ports.

In a television appearance, Kapri stated that this "is a custom law," where according to him foreign investors must make agreements with Prime Minister Edi Rama. Among other things, he added that this type of bill harms citizens the most.

"Corruptive law. Do you know how many articles it had? One article. The article said that the Council of Ministers decides who will build tourist ports in Albania, with the conditions it assesses, it is a custom law for 2 or 3 people. In a normal situation when a strategy for the development of tourism could be made, a competition opens for this thing. Foreign investors should come knocking on Rama's door and make a deal with him? This is scandalous. The precedent that is created is that the prime minister decides who gets poorer and who gets richer in this country. When a draft law is custom, it is clientelistic and corrupt, the ones who are most damaged are the citizens, the citizens do not benefit from this," he said. /CNA
