According to the official explanation, the closing document incorrectly used the phrase “papers found in the box,” while the correct wording should have been “papers available.” The number 1,500 refers to the total number of printed papers, not those found in the box during the counting process.

Representatives of the local branch emphasize that the mistake was a result of the speed with which the documentation was completed and does not affect the accuracy, validity, or transparency of the electoral process.

They add that any interpretation linking this inaccuracy to vote manipulation is unfounded and not based on concrete facts from the counting process.

Some media outlets have reported, with the usual anti-opposition malice, and moreover without seeking confirmation of the news through a second source, as required by the rules of journalism, that the elections for the chairman of the Kurbin branch of the Democratic Party were manipulated.

The truth is that, in the vote counting minutes for the elections for Chairman of the Democratic Party, Dega Kurbin, held on 19.04.2026, there was an inaccuracy in terminology and the expression "ballots found in the box" was used instead of "ballots available".

So, 1500 is the number of sheets available, or printed, and not the number of sheets found in the box, as erroneously stated in the closing minutes.
