In a statement to the media, Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi gave details about the situation of the fires in the country.

The minister said that they have tried to protect and avoid evil in the forest areas.

While he emphasized that in the last 24 hours the fires in Fier, Dibër and Vlora continue to be active.

"We have preserved and avoided the worst in the forest areas. The burned areas were pastures. We have preserved the property of the citizens, i.e. the orchard.

Active fires in the last 24 hours are Fier, Vlora and Dibër.

The most critical fires were in Frakull, where the fire season began. We had a difficult situation. There was a critical fire over Porto Palermo, near the residential areas, but it was managed in a quick time.

There was also a subtle fire near the Church of Laçi, there was also a large concentration of forces there.

There is also an active fire in the forests of Lura, not critical, but it is being brought under control", said Peleshi./ CNA
