Family members hit/ There are increasing cases of domestic violence

Domestic violence continues to remain a disturbing problem in Albanian society.

The cases are among the most diverse and seem to be many in number.

Today alone, the police of Korça have reported four cases of domestic violence.

Three of them are cases where men have exercised physical violence against their wives.

A 44-year-old with the initials K. Dh. resident in the village of Barmash, has exercised physical and psychological violence against his wife, who is provided with a protection order. He was handcuffed by the police.

A 50-year-old man with the initials AL, a resident of the village of Vërdovë, Pogradec, was arrested after allegedly having physically and psychologically abused his wife, who was granted a protection order.

The criminal proceedings began in free status for the 43-year-old man with the initials, E. Ç., a resident of the village of Burimas, Maliq, as he is suspected of having exercised psychological violence against his wife, who was also provided with a protection order.

Another case is violence against the parent.

A 34-year-old man with the initials BF, a resident of the village of Plasë, Maliq, was also arrested red-handed, as he allegedly physically abused his father, who was issued a protection order, in the premises of a bar in the village./ CNA
