Prime Minister Edi Rama said at the leaders' panel at the Bled Strategic Forum that we still have 20 years of Euro-optimism and we hope that by then you (EU) have fulfilled your promise.

He said that there should be more convergence between countries and support not only financially but also in terms of even bigger spaces.

" All of us have done different things. My friend, the prime minister of North Macedonia changed the name of the state. We are still in negotiations, in fact it is nothing. The EU, the view towards the Balkans, whatever you do is not enough. I do not believe that in 2030 we will be in the EU, we need more convergence.All the countries that enter the EU path until they become members not only reform and criticism but also the most consistent support. Not only from the financial point of view, but also from the point of view of even bigger spaces. What has been happening for all these years in these countries through the Berlin Process, we talked about projects, and on the other hand, think about who is building the infrastructure, the Americans, the Chinese, the Arabs. This should be taken into account. The last point is that I always thought that working for free for 50 years against the West, so Enver Hoxha made us more pro-American. We need another 50 years after the fall of communism until we are no longer necessarily pro-American and pro-Western, so we still have 20 years of Euro-optimism and we hope that by then you will have fulfilled your promise."/ CNA
