"From threats to blows"/ VOA: Why did Ibrahimaj's husband attack

In Tirana, Andri Ibrahimaj, the husband of the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Delina Ibrahimaj, is said to have been involved in an attack with a cold weapon 5 months ago against the general director of the Credit Handling Agency, Eri Koshaj.

Koshaj reported to the police that Andri Ibrahimaj threatened and hit him with a sharp tool in the ribs and at the bottom of the back because of his duty, on November 20, asking him to resign as director of the Credit Handling Agency, an institution in depending on the Ministry of Finance.

The State Police detailed in a public announcement that Eri Koshaj had stated in a report at a police station last November 21 that "he was threatened and beaten because of his duty by Andri Ibrahimaj".

The police emphasized that Koshaj was given a forensic decision, while statements were taken from Ibrahimaj and two other people, following requests from the prosecutor to shed light on this criminal proceeding.

"The materials were referred to the prosecutor's office on December 4 for the criminal offense of "Strikes due to duty", in the charge of Ibrahimaj", the statement of the State Police states.

The signs of these blows from a sharp tool were also proven by the Institute of Forensic Medicine, the police sent the materials to the investigative bodies, but according to local media, the capital prosecutor's office stopped the investigation against the minister's husband.

Minister Ibrahimaj confirmed the incident today, calling it an "unwanted conflict, which has been answered in the way of justice".

Through a public statement, Minister Ibrahimaj emphasized that the conflict was investigated by the justice bodies and dismissed for lack of evidence, while the husband, according to her, was unjustly accused "for something he did not do, which was also confirmed by the decision of the bodies of the accusation".

Mrs. Ibrahimaj claimed that she did not allow her husband to file a complaint, because Eri Koshaj was the head of an institution under the Ministry of Finance, a position she held even after her departure from the position of Minister of Finance and Economy.

Eri Koshaj has already been dismissed from the position of general director at the Credit Handling Agency, while his denunciation, cited in police reports with initials, remained out of the public's attention and away from detailed investigations./VOA
